Charleston 4th of July Spots

 

Independence Day sparks so many feelings and memories. Filled with cookouts, boating, and fireworks, this holiday is one of our favorites. If you live in or are visiting the Charleston area this holiday, you’re sure to have plenty of fun options for the holiday. While some events and celebrations have been cancelled due to COVID, we gathered a short list of some fun Charleston 4th of July events still happening!

 

PATRIOTS POINT 4TH OF JULY BLAST

Watch the fireworks and enjoy live music from the flight deck of the one of the most historic warships in the United States, the USS Yorktown. General Flight Deck is $50

and VIP is $125. Other than the cost of parking, there is no charge for guests who wish to watch the fireworks from the grassy area next to the marsh onshore. Patriots Point will also provide live music and children’s entertainment options for this area starting at 4 p.m. Food and beverages will be available for purchase, and coolers and chairs are welcome.

 

SUMMERVILLE FIREWORKS AND FREEDOM FEST

This family fun event will take place at the Gahagan Park in Summerville. Here you’ll find live music, food trucks, and tons of family fun. Bring chairs/blankets for sitting. Admission is completely free! Join the fun from 5:30 – 9:30pm!

 

KIAWAH FESTIVAL

Stop by Kiawah Island’s Sundown Festival while the sun sets in Night Heron Park.  This event features live music, southern lawn games, inflatables, a photo booth, and crafts. Admission is free!
