Start To Finish

You’ve ordered a cover from us, but what happens next? How does it get to you? Your order travels through many different channels within our facility before getting out the door and making its way to you.

Whether you’ve called in to place your order with a member of our sales team, or ordered on our website, it then has to be turned into a work order by a member of our sales team. This work order will include all of the necessary information such as boat information and your contact information.

Sales will then hand it over to our design department who will then check everything over and ensure everything is correct with your boat’s specific pattern/SKU and that you are getting all of the proper modifications done.

Once design has done their check, your work order is then placed with our production team. As we’ve covered in previous blogs, the cover will pass through multiple areas on our production floor such as blanks, webbing and binding, and hemming.

Once our seamstresses have completed your custom cover, it will then be given to our quality control team who will inspect the finished product and ensure the cover has been made to your boat’s specifications, a signature T-Top Covers patch has been sewn on, and will then give it that famous, tight LaPorte fold.

Your cover will then make its way to our shipping department where it will be securely boxed up and shipped out.

Once it’s in your hands, our support team will step in if there are any questions or concerns with your product.

When you receive a product from LaPorte, you can rest assured it has been passed through several people’s hands and undergone many checks before finally getting to you. We take pride in all of our products and look forward to continuing to serve you.
