Pattern Designer – CAD Operator

Job Description:

LaPorte Products is searching for highly motivated team players for full time employment of skilled and highly skilled personnel as a Pattern Designer - CAD Operator.

Summary:

Tasks, Essential Duties, Responsibilities and Qualifications include the following but not limited to:

• Keep up with a fast-paced manufacturing line to ensure that our products are produced in a timely manner.
• Modify existing or creating new patterns for products, as well as maintaining a current library of products
• Work in a safe and professional manner and be able to get along with others.
• Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations and housekeeping guidelines.
• General housekeeping, maintenance, and organization.
• Performs related duties as required.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Engaging in bending, stooping, squatting, pushing and pulling.
• Work in an HVAC environment.

Requirements:

• 1 to 2 years or more experience is preferred but not required.
• Dependable for being on time and ready to work with excellent record of attendance
• Applicant must be highly motivated

• Willing to be trainable and receive instructions
• Self-directed when warranted
• Professional Customer Service
• Must be able to effectively communicate verbally and in written form
• Basic/Intermediate Knowledge of Excel and general computer navigation. 
• The applicant must pass an hour-long evaluation period of their computing ability.
• Work full-time Monday-Friday.
• Pass a drug and background test.

Benefits and Compensation:

• We offer competitive pay starting at $14.00/hr (depending on experience).
• Family friendly work schedule. Monday - Thursday 7 am to 4 pm and Friday 7 am to 1 pm.
• We offer two weeks of paid vacation (July 4th and Christmas).
