Job Description:

LaPorte Products is searching for highly motivated responsible team players for full-time employment of Entry-Level, Skilled and Highly Skilled personnel for our Metal Works Division.

Summary:

Tasks, Essential Duties, Responsibilities and Qualifications including the following but not limited to:

• Set-up, operate and maintain and program of 3 axis CNC Mill, CNC Lathe, CNC Vertical Milling Center with Auto Tool Changer and Fourth Axis Indexer, CNC Aluminum up cut Saw and Die Bending Machine
• G-Code programming and Conversational Controllers programming navigation
• Production parts produced within the communicated tolerances and dimensions
• Follows SOP’s for process of demurring and cleaning parts for further machine processes
• Interpret part prints pertaining to dimensional, reference data or sketches
• Able to execute, when warranted, tooling and machine offsets and tool changes
• Tool setting to established SOP’s
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations or both Metric/English/Fractional/Decimal
• Performs inspections and measurements of equipment for machine health as in alignments, concentricity, perpendicularity, parallelism, and tram when required
• Use of measuring equipment such as mechanical/digital micrometers and calipers
• Standard shop practices pertaining to grinding, cutting, filing fabricating for production or prototyping
• Produce production parts or products in a timely manner
• Maintain shop cleanliness - clean as you go, 5S principles
• Understanding of electrical theory, pneumatics, hydraulics, encoders, stepper motors, press applications, Laser theory, A/C Controls, and theory, OEE, SPC and FMEA
• Welding experience in TIG, MIG, SMAW (Stick), Laser Welding/Cutting as a plus
• CAD based systems for design, part verification, program management
