If you know LaPorte, you know we pride ourselves on our people. We firmly believe that a place is only as good as its people. You know we manufacture boat covers and shades– what does that entail? Who does that entail? You know we have seamstresses and tailors that physically make your cover, but what else goes into the process? In order to gain a better understanding of the people and departments that keep the wheel turning here, we think it’s important to give you a look into the people at LaPorte and what they do by diving into each of LaPorte’s departments.
When you order a product from us and when you have any general question regarding our products, you’re usually going through our website or ordering over the phone with one of our sales team members. Even when you order through our website, a salesperson has to process that order. Somewhere within the sales department, your order is getting touched. Our sales team consists of four amazing individuals: Siraya, Kevin, Aubrie, and Evan. Each of them is a vital part of helping get your order processed and out of the door. Want to know if we have your boat’s pattern? Need certain modifications done? These are the folks that are able to help with that!
So let’s introduce you to our fabulous sales team!
Siraya is our sales manager and has been with us for about 4 years. She’s a Columbia SC native, a mama to 3, and loves doing anything on the water!
LaPorte’s first ever sales associate, Kevin, has been with us for over 20 years! To say Kevin knows all things boats and boat covers is an understatement. Kevin resides in Summerville with his wife and 2 dogs, and loves to go camping.
Evan, another sales associate of ours, has been with us going on 2 years now. He is a Knoxville, TN native and loves to golf.
Aubrie, our newest sales associate, has been with us for about a year now and has two daughters. When she’s not in the office, she loves to go to the beach and be with her family.
One of the quotes we have hanging in our facility speaks volumes to what we do here and how we work together as a team. “Our companies’ endeavor is to put others before ourselves, to be passionate about our job, with an understanding that we are not here for only ourselves, but for all who work here and our families.” We are passionate about that statement and try to live that out each and every day.
