Thank You
First off, we want to thank all of you who have stuck with us and joined us during these times. We have always said that we wouldn’t be where we are today without you, and that has never been more true than over the past few months. We are living in unprecedented times as we all navigate COVID-19, and we hope that you and your loved ones are safe and well.
COVID-19 has affected us and all in different ways. What has stood out the most to us is not the effect that the virus had on the world, but the way the world has banded together in response to the virus. Yet again humankind as a whole has shown what we are made of. We want to thank YOU for stepping up to the plate and giving to others in such a time that you might not know what your tomorrow looks like. Because of YOU, LaPorte was able to create masks for your communities and neighbors fighting on the frontlines of COVID-19. Your donations helped us gift the local Post Office with masks to protect their employees and communities.
When Uncertainty Struck
Once this crisis hit, everyone had so many decisions that had to be made, and we here at LaPorte were no exception. In staying true to our core values of taking care of our LaPorte Team and creating products to help our current and future customers live a more relaxed life, we let this crisis be a catalyst of innovation and started creating masks to help slow the spread.
What it Looked Liked
We split our LaPorte Team into Red, White, and Blue Teams. Pictured here is our Blue Team hard at work.
Here at LaPorte work has looked a little different the past couple of months. We split up in teams and worked different shifts in order to limit social contact, we closed our doors to normal business to turn our facility into a mask manufacturer, we held meetings on our computers from our own homes, we carried on our relationships with old friends from separate places and we made new friends with local companies fighting for the safety of their teams. These companies included The U.S. Navy, and the Charleston Joint Air Force and Army Base.
We are always humbled and honored when we get to work with our military heroes!
